About our DoctorsDr. Paul Cater
Dr. Paul Cater grew up in Pebble Beach , California, the son of an Orthodontist. He did not initially plan on going to Dental School and was going to follow the path of his brothers, both of whom are Chiropractors. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara he was accepted into the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and graduated in 1989. Following his graduation, he went to Philadelphia and spent one year in a General Practice Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The following year he entered the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and began his specialty training in Orthodontics. In 1992, he graduated and moved back to California to begin practicing Orthodontics in Salinas. He and Dr. Galante got married in 1994 and moved to the Sacramento area in 1997. Dr. Cater enjoys, surfing, golfing, tennis, swimming, traveling and hanging out with his family. They are the proud parents of two children, Carina and Nate. They are both members of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the Sacramento District Dental Society and the California Dental Association. Dr. Donna Galante grew up in the Philadelphia area and graduated from Albright College in Reading Pennsylvania. After college she was accepted into the prestigious Ivy League School, The University of Pennsylvania and began her 4 year Dental School Career. After graduating in the top 15 of her Dental School Class, she was accepted into the University of Pennsylvania’s Orthodontic Department and continued her education by specializing in the field of Orthodontics. After her graduation in 1986, she was given a position as a Clinical Instructor in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Pennsylvania. She also started her own private practice in King of Prussia Pennsylvania. In 1989 and 1991, she was voted the Instructor of the Year in the Department of Orthodontics. In 1994 she left Pennsylvania to move to California and get married to her husband, Dr. Paul Cater. She enjoys spending time with her two children, her husband, traveling, running, playing tennis, theater, cooking and reading.
She is proud of her many professional accomplishments including her
board certification in 1992 which made her a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics. | |
