Dr. Paul Cater

I have been an Orthodontist since 1992 graduating from the Ivy League School, University of Pennsylvania.  My DDS degree was from the University of the Pacific in 1989.

While in Philadelphia, I met my wife, Dr. Donna Galante and convinced her to moved to California (where I was born and raised.)  It wasn’t easy, but she agreed and we have been in practice together ever since.

Braces have improved so much since I was in school and I enjoy the fact the we can help people of all ages achieve the smile and healthy bites they desire.  There are so many options today regarding braces, including removable aligners like Invisalign, that even the busiest adult patients who travel can still have orthodontic treatment and get a fabulous result.

Besides changing smiles and changing lives, I am most proud to be a dad to 2 fantastic teenagers, Carina and Nate.  I also enjoy everything related to new technology, golf, skiing, travel and taking my 2 labs to Folsom Lake for a hike and swim.

Dr. Donna Galante

I have been an Orthodontist for 26 years and continued to be amazed by my wonderful patients and parents who are so committed to achieving healthy and beautiful smiles.  I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1984 and continued there for an additional 2 more years and received my Orthodontic Specialist Degree in 1986 and received the Department Of Orthodontics Top Research Award.

I started my own practice in the Philadelphia area and was a part-time clinical instructor in the Department of Orthodontics for 8 years.

I received my Board Certification in 1992 and was also awarded Faculty Member of the year in 1990 and 1992 by the graduate students in the Department of Orthodontics at UPenn.

I moved to California in 1993 and married my husband, Dr. Paul Cater.  We have been in practice together for over 18 years.  

I am more excited about the field of Orthodontics today than ever before.  We have so many new and more effective ways to move teeth and create beautiful and healthy smiles in less time with less discomfort.

Besides being an Orthodontist, I am a mother to 2 teenagers, an author of 3 books, Big Ideas For Your Business, Power Principles for Success and Healthy and Beautiful At Any Age:  Your Smile and Modern Orthodontics.  My latest book is dedicated to educating patients and parents about what modern orthodontics has to offer. I love travel, reading, theater and spending time with my family and my dog “Rocky.”
