Life as a teenager is fun, most of the time - except, perhaps, when you have to wear unsightly braces. But the days of having a mouth full of metal or having to wear 'train track's' on your teeth are pretty much a thing of the past. Today, Invisalign Teen is making life much easier for teens everywhere who have to have orthodontic treatment.
What is Invisalign Teen?
Invisalign Teen is the version of the revolutionary orthodontic method, Invisalign, designed specifically for teenage patients. Invisalign Teen works the same way as the full method does, using custom-made aligners made from clear, medical-grade plastic, to straighten teeth. These aligners are comfortable to wear and are virtually invisible - hence teens like them!
The difference between Invisalign Teen and Invisalign is the blue dot wear indicators that come on Invisalign Teen aligners. These blue dots help teens keep track of the amount of time they are wearing their aligners. For the best results, Invisalign aligners must be worn for 22 hours a day, but we realise teens play sport and musical instruments, and eat often. Removing the aligners for games and practices, as well as taking them out when eating, brushing and flossing, means the time not wearing them can add up.
